The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has acquired 4,000 DJI Mavic 3 drones for UAH 0.5 billion. The purchase was made through a bidding process on the Prozorro tender platform. The agency has signed contracts for the supply of 3,000 DJI Mavic 3E and 1,000 DJI Mavic 3T drones, along with additional equipment. The average prices of the unmanned aviation systems under the contracts vary, with the DJI Mavic 3E priced at UAH 126.9 thousand and the DJI Mavic 3T priced at UAH 194.2 thousand. The total amount of the concluded contracts is UAH 575.2 million. The first batches of the purchased drones have already been delivered to military units. The procurement of these drones is part of the Ministry of Defense’s larger tender for the purchase of a total of 20,000 DJI Mavic 3 drones.

The news was reported on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The Defense Procurement Agency used the Prozorro system for the bidding process. The Director of the Defense Procurement Agency, Marina Bezrukova, stated that the new framework agreement procedure at Prozorro allowed them to obtain competitive prices for the drones. The procurement of the drones is aimed at providing necessary equipment for the military front. The agency is currently bidding for the purchase of an additional 6,000 drones through the Prozorro system. The delivery period for all 20,000 quadcopters is set until May 31, 2024.
