بلدة بايدي في استونيا تصبح أول تجمع يغطى بالكامل بنظام إنذار جوي

In Estonia, the city of Paide has become the first settlement to be fully covered by air raid sirens. This initiative is being carried out by the Estonian Rescue Board, in collaboration with the IT and Development Centre of the Ministry of the Interior, to ensure quick and effective communication during dangerous crisis situations. The Ministry of the Interior emphasizes the importance of taking immediate action upon hearing the sirens, as additional warnings may experience delays. The government plans to allocate €1.1 billion for national defense, with a significant portion dedicated to internal security, including population protection.
The Deputy Director General of the Rescue Board, Martin Lambing, explains that the sirens will be used in conjunction with other warning methods and will be tested next year with the aim of installing them in 22 Estonian communities by the end of this year. The installation of air raid sirens has already been completed in over 15 settlements across the country. Furthermore, Estonia intends to require the construction of shelters in large residential buildings and institutions. This initiative aligns with the Estonian government’s decision to build a defense line composed of approximately 600 concrete bunkers to defend against potential Russian aggression.
