اندلاع حريق في مستودع نفط بمنطقة فولغوغراد الروسية جراء غارة بطائرة مسيرة.

An oil depot in the Volgograd region of Russia caught fire due to a drone strike. The incident occurred in the city of Kalach-on-Don on Tuesday, July 9. Eyewitnesses reported around ten explosions at approximately 4 a.m., followed by a fire in the area of the oil depot. Videos and photos of the incident were shared on social media and confirmed by the governor of the region, Andrey Bocharov. Firefighters from the regional fire service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are currently working at the site. Additionally, a fire at a substation in the town of Frolovo was reported, allegedly caused by the fall of UAV debris intercepted by Russian air defense and electronic warfare devices.

This recent drone attack comes after a similar incident in May, when drones targeted a Russian oil refinery in Volgograd, resulting in the shutdown of operations. In response, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a large-scale drone attack on five Russian regions, claiming to have intercepted or destroyed 38 Ukrainian drones the previous night. The specific regions targeted were the Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov, and Astrakhan regions. The Volgograd airport has restricted the arrival and departure of planes, but no information about damage or injuries has been provided by officials.
