A Polish army M-346 Bielik training aircraft crashed at the Polish airport of Gdynia-Kosakowo. The military reported that the aircraft burst into flames after hitting the airport runway. The crash resulted in the death of the pilot, Major Robert Jeł. The M-346 aircraft are relatively new for Polish pilots, with the Polish Air Force receiving the final batch in 2022. The M-346 Master (Bielik) is powered by two Honeywell turbojet engines and is equipped with Alenia Difesa avionics and a Martin Baker/SICAMB: Mk.16 ejection seat. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
