On the night of Saturday, July 13, a Russian Shahed attack drone flew from Ukraine to Belarus, covering a distance of over 350 km. The drone flew across four regions of Belarus, which is an ally of Russia. The monitoring group Belaruski Gayun reported this incident, marking the second such occurrence in the last two days.

According to the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, Russia conducted an attack on Ukraine using five Shahed-131/136 drones. Four of these drones were shot down by mobile AA fire teams in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, while the fifth drone left Ukrainian airspace and headed towards the Gomel region of Belarus.

“At around 3:00 a.m., a Russian Shahed drone crossed the Belarusian-Ukrainian border near the village of Loyew in the Gomel region and continued its movement north,” reported the Belaruski Gayun monitoring group. The drone flew over Gomel, Zhlobin, and entered the Mogilev and Minsk regions. Belarusian aircraft were alerted to intercept the drone in the vicinity of Minsk, Mogilev, and Vitebsk regions. The ultimate fate of this Russian attack drone remains uncertain.”

Belaruski Gayun had previously reported another incident on July 11, where a Shahed drone used by Russia to attack Ukraine entered Belarus from the Chernihiv region and remained in Belarusian airspace for at least one hour. A Belarusian Mi-24 helicopter and a fighter jet were also deployed during this incident.
