اليونان ترفض دفعة من مركبات برادلي القتالية الأميركية بسبب سوء حالتها التقنية
Greece has refused a batch of American Bradley combat vehicles due to their poor technical condition. The Greek newspaper Η Καθημερινή has reported that Greece was supposed to receive 62 infantry fighting vehicles free of charge from the United States under the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program. However, after inspecting the vehicles in the US Army storage, the Greek military found them to be in poor condition. Consequently, Greece considers it inappropriate to spend significant funds on repairing and restoring these combat vehicles. A Greek military delegation had visited the United States in early June and selected 164 Bradley fighting vehicles to be put into service by the Greek army. Greece had previously requested the transfer of equipment, which was approved in early 2023. The Greek military command believes that it is difficult to proceed with an armored vehicle fleet modernization program without addressing the lack of modern infantry fighting vehicles.
