بيلاروس تستمر في نشر قوات العمليات الخاصة على الحدود البيلاروسية الأوكرانية

In a recent development, Belarus has continued to deploy units of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. The Belaruski Gayun monitoring group reported this information. It is stated that there are currently around 400-500 personnel stationed at the border, in the same areas as before. Specifically, the 103rd Separate Guards Airborne Brigade of the SOF of the Belarusian Armed Forces is still stationed near the Zyabrovka military air base, while the 5th Brigade of the Special Operations Forces remains at its deployment point near Mozyr. These deployments allegedly took place following a joint information campaign against Ukraine initiated by the Ministry of Defense and the State Border Committee of Belarus.

Reports of the transfer of Belarusian Special Operations Forces to the border had appeared as early as February. The Belarusian government had announced a counterterrorism operation in the border village of Lyelchytsy, Lyelchytsy district, Gomel region on February 15. Additionally, in July, additional forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces were temporarily withdrawn from the border and engaged in a “combat readiness check.” The Belarusian Defense Ministry presented these activities as part of a larger inspection, including the participation of the Polonez Multiple Launch Rocket Systems division in tasks to secure the state border. The developments on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border have attracted attention due to the ongoing tensions between Belarus and Ukraine.
