A Russian chef who worked for the Russian special services and prepared provocations during the Olympics in Paris was detained in France. The French publication Le Monde reported on this. Russian chef Kirill Gryaznov, who has repeatedly participated in cooking TV shows, was detained by French law enforcement agencies. According to French and German publications, the 40-year-old Russian citizen, who was educated at the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris, was recruited by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on the eve of his trip to France.
The German publication Der Spiegel notes that the detainee worked as a chef at a restaurant in France. Gryaznov was detained on July 21, 2024, in his Paris apartment on Rue Saint-Denis. As it turned out later, Kirill told unknown people about his assignment from the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation while intoxicated while staying at a hotel in Bulgaria. According to French law enforcement, he faces up to 30 years in prison. During the searches in his apartment, certain diplomatic materials were found, as well as an ID card indicating his affiliation with “Unit V” of the Russian special services.
