لاتفيا تعلن الانتهاء من بناء سياج على حدودها مع بيلاروس لتعزيز الأمن الحدودي.

Latvia has announced the completion of a 145 km fence on its border with Belarus. The state-owned enterprise Valsts nekustamie īpašumi has completed the main work, with the second stage involving the preparation of necessary infrastructure such as patrol paths and pedestrian bridges along the remaining 173 km of the border. The fence was built professionally and on schedule, according to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Rihards Kozlovskis. Additional infrastructure for border guards is also being constructed near the Daugava River and Lake Rychy. The entire project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2025 at a total cost of €125.35 million, with €3.6 million provided by the European Union. The initiative to strengthen the eastern border is part of the Baltic Defensive Line, which covers Latvia’s border with Russia and Belarus.
The completion of the border fence was reported by LSM and published on Militarnyi. The project aims to enhance border security and counter enemy troop mobility.
