أوكرانيا تطور نسخة مقطورة لمدفع Bohdana-B باستخدام نظام مدفع من مركبة Bohdana 2S22 العجلية

Ukraine is developing a trailer version of the Bohdana howitzer based on an artillery unit from the 2S22 Bohdana wheeled vehicle. The initiative to produce the trailer version came from the military, which was looking for a system that was easier to operate and less noticeable than a full-fledged combat vehicle. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed the development of the Bohdana-B and mentioned that the prospects of producing it in parallel with the self-propelled version are supported by the growing production of 155-caliber artillery barrels. The specifics of the prototype howitzer used for the project are not disclosed, but three 152-mm systems – Msta-B, Giatsint-B, and D-20 – are suitable for adaptation. The Giatsint chassis is considered the most practical choice for the Bohdana-B, but there is a possibility of shortening the barrel by 2000 mm to make it more compact.
The details of the trailer howitzer development were first reported last November. The Ukrainian defense industry currently produces more than 10 self-propelled artillery systems of the same name per month. The modifications of converting old Soviet 130mm M-46 guns to the new caliber have been practiced by Serbian Yugoimport SDPR and the Indian Gun Carriage Factory, allowing the weapon to increase its range up to 39 km. The development of the Bohdana-B is expected to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a towed artillery system that is easier to operate and less noticeable compared to a self-propelled combat vehicle.
