A Su-34 fighter-bomber was destroyed and several others were damaged in a Ukrainian strike at the Russian Morozovsk military air base on August 3, 2024. The attack also resulted in the destruction of an ammunition depot. The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported and provided satellite images as evidence.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, relying on space intelligence, confirmed the destruction of a Su-34 fighter-bomber and possible damage to two other Russian military aircraft of the same type by debris. Satellite images also show explosion craters near the sides. Additionally, an aviation ammunition depot at the Morozovsk base was destroyed, causing secondary detonation of ammunition, resulting in scorched ground. Four technical buildings and two hangars at the air base also suffered visible damage.
The strike on the Morozovsk military air base was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine, Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
