تمديد فترة التدريب الأساسي للقوات المسلحة الأوكرانية إلى 1.5 شهر لتعزيز جاهزية الجنود
In an experimental initiative, the duration of the Basic Combined Arms Training (BCAT) for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been extended from 30 days to 1.5 months. This extension is being implemented across four training centers. The information was conveyed by Yevhen Mezhevikin, Deputy Chief of the Main Doctrine and Training Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and reported by Ukraiinska Pravda. The decision to extend the training period is supported by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. This pilot project currently involves approximately 500 servicemen, emphasizing the enhancement of training quality, particularly in using modern military technology such as drones, trench-based electronic warfare, and reconnaissance equipment. Tactical skills, marksmanship, and survival skills in cold conditions are also focal points of the revamped program.
The extension of BCAT is aimed at improving the efficacy and preparedness of Ukrainian soldiers. The decision was motivated by the need to bolster the training quality significantly and ensure soldier survivability, as highlighted in a statement by Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi. The implementation of this pilot project was decided after a meeting that Syrskyi conducted with heads of military command, control bodies, combat brigade commanders
