North Korea has handed over a large batch of Hwasong-11D tactical ballistic missile launchers to its army. The ceremony took place in Pyongyang and was attended by the country’s leader, Kim Jong-un. The Korean People’s Army received new Hwasongpho-11Ra short-range ballistic missile systems, also known as Hwasong-11D. The Central News Agency reported that 250 mobile launchers were given to military units stationed along the front line with South Korea. This is a significant development, as 250 launchers is a large number, not just for North Korea, but for other countries in the region as well.
