Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Invaders’ Radar and Vehicles

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck the radar and other military vehicles of the Russian invaders. The Division-TIVAZ Telegram channel released a video capturing the shelling. The video shows a reconnaissance drone detecting the Russian equipment, including the radar and combat control post of the S-300 or S-400 air defense system and other wheeled vehicles. However, the image quality is insufficient to accurately identify the specific type of radar and equipment. It is likely that the illumination and guidance radar and the mobile control post on the truck chassis, along with other nearby vehicles, were targeted. The footage indicates that the US M142 HIMARS rocket system was used for the fire damage.

The Russian equipment was located in an area that was shelled with GMLRS missiles. Although the video does not show the equipment catching fire, it is likely to have been damaged by debris and nearby high-explosive explosions. It is significant to note that since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, along with other air defense systems, have been protecting the invasion forces and strategic facilities in the occupied territories. The loss or disablement of such systems is a blow to the Russian Federation. Previously, the Ukrainian military successfully targeted the radars and vehicles of the Russian air defense system using HIMARS surface-to-air missiles and destroyed a Buk surface-to-air missile system in the Donetsk region and a Tor surface-to-air missile system in the Zaporizhzhia region.
