Ministry of Strategic Industries in Ukraine Demonstrates Weapons Samples to Danish Officials

Ukrainian Strategic Industries Ministry has demonstrated Ukrainian weapons samples to Danish MPs and government representatives. The demonstration was provided by the Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, and the Deputy Minister of Defense, Dmytro Klimenkov. The samples shown can be purchased as part of military assistance to Ukraine. The demonstration included artillery systems and drones, highlighting the ZBROYARI: Manufacturing Freedom project that aims to secure foreign investments for procuring Ukrainian weaponry to strengthen the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Denmark became the first country to support the project, with a commitment to purchase Ukrainian weapons worth $28.5 million. Currently, specific weapons intended for financing have not been disclosed.

The Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, announced plans to accumulate about $10 billion in 2024 for the ZBROYARI: Manufacturing Freedom project. This money will be used to purchase weapons from Ukrainian enterprises. The Ukrainian defense industry has a capacity of about $20 billion, but the Ukrainian budget can only provide $6 billion for weapons purchases. The goal is to convince partners, such as the UK, the Netherlands, and Latvia, to buy weapons for Ukraine, benefiting the Ukrainian economy and gunsmiths. Other countries like the UK and Latvia have already committed funds, while the Netherlands has provided $213 million. The cooperation will follow the principle of “50 – 30 – 20”, where 50% of the funding will come from Ukrainian producers.
