The joint events are taking place at a military training ground near the Romanian village of Cincu. The exercise began on May 8 and will continue until May 24. The exercise is part of a plan of joint training activities for 2024 between the 2nd Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Moldova and the 81st Mechanized Brigade of the Romanian Army.

The Moldovan Ministry of Defense has also announced mobilization exercises for reservists as part of a routine check of their combat readiness and skills. The exercises will take place from May 20 to 24, and from May 27 to 31. This will be the second training of reservists this year, with the first held in March and the third scheduled for June. The main purpose of the exercises is to test the reservists’ skills, including their knowledge of military regulations, weapons handling skills, and knowledge of materiel. The Moldovan Ministry of Defense is currently holding a meeting for reservists to receive calls at their place of residence and report to military commissariats shortly.
